The mobile phone
I got this call a few weeks back: “Gordon we would like to hire some more people, what should we do?”
After the following conversation it turned out, that the best thing this company could do is to put a recruiter in place, with a background in IT, Internet and Mobile, taking care of their hiring needs.

What happened
Since I am still Trainer and Speaker on the subject of Mobile and Internet Recruitment and still going strong with my Mobile Recruiting Project called Shake Your Job.

I did find a way to help out this company, consultancy…. Contracting or Interim you could call it as well.

And as of today, for the next few months, I am back in race of finding the best candidate first!

So what was your main complaint about Shake Your Job so far, being 4 months on air?

WHY do I need to register immediately?
– The thinking behind that was … You will use the app for finding a job and apply for it. To apply you need to send at least your contact details and let the recruiter know why you would like to apply, what is your ambition. – If you download an app, you first want to check out the application, before having the confidence to leave your contact details in the system behind the app.

REGISTRATION IN SHAKE YOUR JOB CHANGED

You don’t need to register immediately in Shake Your Job
Only Register if you like more info, or want to apply immediately.
After registration you will get the recruiter info and the possibility to interact directly via mail, call or the apply button.

But feel free to check out the jobs available without signing in.
NOTE: Your contact details will only be send to the recruiter if you tell the application to do so. In the meanwhile your details stay within the Shake Your Job database, for you to change, to add more info like a full resume, or to delete your info.

As we announced on Facebook and Twitter, we’ve moved, within the Appstore.. Yes that is possible, not as easy as you would guess, but we managed of course.

My first Shake Your Job on Ipad experience

Today I was invited to experience the Ipad in Amsterdam, of course I couldn’t say no to the invitation.

So I went to Amsterdam City center to meet @boris, @patrick @vincente @nalden @tessas @renn @tonie and many other Ipad touchers 🙂 to experience the beauty of new technology.

And most important mission of this morning was to see if Shake Your Job was running smoothly on the IPad.

YESSSS!!!

Although getting an Ipad in your pocket needs Ipad fashionstyle

NOTE: to Shake Your Job with an Ipad you need both hands to hold the Ipad!

Today I experienced my first Blog Talk Radio being Guest on the show.
Of course Mobile Recruitment was topic during the one hour radio show.
